22: Back to school sleep struggles with Scott Bonvallet, MD

Back to school season is here, and that means the dreaded return of early morning alarm clocks. Even though most schooling is happening remotely this fall, students, parents and teachers still need to be awake and functional for that first remote class of the day. Today's episode covers how we can reduce the stress of waking up early, dial down family tension around sleep schedules, and get everyone's school year off to a better, more rested start. 
BIO: Dr. Scott T. Bonvallet, MD is Medical Director of the Overlake Sleep Disorders Center in Bellevue, Wash., and is board certified in sleep medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine, and internal medicine. Dr. Bonvallet has been in private practice for more than 15 years and has been recognized multiple times as a Top Doctor by both the Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan magazine. He’s the father of three grown children and a six-time Ironman Canada competitor.
